Does MedBox limit the number of medications that can be packaged?

Listen to this answer

No. Unlike other pharmacies, which may limit medication packets to a certain number of prescriptions per roll, MedBox has no cap. We can sort all of your prescriptions — regardless of how many you take — into clearly labeled, easy-to-open packets by date and time.

The only exceptions are:

  • Certain manufacturer-required packaging (for example, when a drug must stay in its original container).
  • Special hazardous medications (NIOSH drugs), which can’t be mixed in with others for safety reasons.
  • As-needed (PRN) medications, although we can package them if your doctor provides us with an order.
  • Non-oral medications that cannot be packeted like inhalers and creams.

If you take a large number of prescriptions at one time, we’ll simply split them into multiple packets for that time slot. For example, if you take 12 pills every morning at 7 a.m., you might get two or three packets, all labeled “7 a.m.”
